It's not lookin' too good, folks. Not good at all. I'm not exactly sure what happened...everything was looking promising until Saturday (I had lost another 1/2 pound or so between my weigh in on Wednesday and Friday)...until we went out to eat Chinese on Saturday, lunch out with friends on Sunday, and no workout on Monday (because I had failed to do laundry). I really didn't think that I ate all that badly on Saturday and Sunday, but I guess the scale thought differently, like I had eaten an extra 14,000 calories. OMGoodness! There is NO way....so the only other plausible explanation is that I'm retaining fluid (I am having a hard time putting my rings on) because I'm not drinking enough (maybe too many Diet Coke with Cherry Happy Hours at Sonic?). ???
Whatever the reason...all I know is that even after I worked my was-shrinking-at-one-time tail off this past week (logging 21 miles), I didn't see the results I was hoping for. UGH! So this week, I've decided to take a "pass" on weighing in...and hope for a better outcome for next week. Hope you don't mind.
However, on a brighter note, I completed Week 3 of the push up challenge last night, cranking out 18 consecutive push ups and 60 push ups all together (5 sets).
So my goal for this next week is to drink 60-80 oz. water/day, log 5 miles at least 5 days with a 7 mile run on either Saturday or Sunday, and consume 5 servings of fruits and veggies for at least 5 days.
So, how 'bout you? Are your jeans shrinking?

I know what it is... it's the push ups adding muscle... which we all know that muscle weighs more than fat! :)
You are one ambitious gal!! But there's no doubt that sticking to your goals ~ even if they don't produce immediate, awesome results ~ will pay off in the end. And the end result will be INCREDIBLE!!! You can do it!!!!! Have a great week!
Yes, I have to say, my jeans are shrinking...but my waist-line certainly isn't! :-) Proud of you for sticking with it! You're doing great.
I heard/read somewhere you should drink half your weight in ounces of water. So if you weigh 200lbs, you should drink 100oz, though that's a lot, but hey, maybe that's how it helps people lose weight???
Hi! My jean ARE shrinking! The goal was a bit lofty (another 10 pounds to go) but 15lbs are GONE! WOOOHOOO! The *plan* (oh, how God must laugh...) was to get rid of anything unwanted before trying to get pregnant so, I set the stakes fairly high in an effort to not ever see numbers on the scale that I hadn't seen before...even if I was 9 months preg. So, I'm just below my married weight, the lowest I have been in ALL of my adult life!
I have struggled with the running...I've been doing cardio and core, but have all but quit running and have a 5 miler planned for 3 weeks from now...ugh!
You, my dear, are doing a FABULOUS job and I love reading your blog! Keep up the good work and YOU CAN DO IT!
