It's hard to believe that I've reached the halfway point of this pregnancy already. It seems like just yesterday I was sharing our shocking news. I guess that's what happens when you're in denial for 3 months. *wink* Things have been going well, and I feel great. I've just barely started showing, and I'm not in maternity clothes yet (losing 30-40 pounds twice now has given me a little bit of room for growth in my "fat pants"). While Laney has no clue what is about to happen to her little world, Josiah is much more aware...and he has started talking to the baby and pat my belly when we lay down together...it's very cute.
Please pray that the next 20 weeks go smoothly (and I'm on the fence about whether I want them to go by quickly or not) as we adjust the house and the big brother and sister for baby's arrival in just a few months. We hope to transition Josiah to a big, "big boy" bed, in a separate room from Laney, move Laney to the toddler bed, and move the crib back to our room, in about 4 months. New car seats are on order (our current seats are too wide to accommodate 3 seated across the back of our car)....I just hope they fit and that the kids like them as much as their current seat.
Lots to prepare for in the next 5 months....

It does seem crazy that you are halfway there! Time is flying by -at least on this end of the computer!

Anna
Wow! and your not even showing...time for that later.
When I was on the fence about a third baby, my OB/Gyn asked me to look 10 years into the future and asked what do I see...just the 2 I had or more?
Well, the answer was "more" but I told her I couldn't handle another...so she said "it will only be crazy for a little while".
My point is...I didn't know how it was all gonna work out, but I took the leap and we're finding our rhythm...
But some days, yes I would still like to strangle that OB/gyn...lol.
It will all work out, no other choice, right? :)
Looking good. Look at it this way, at least you're getting the diaper bag carrying/diaper changing/body deforming years out of the way now instead of spreading it out.
oh my goodness what a cute little bump shot! wow. i can't believe it's halfway already. i pray for a very smooth second half for you! xoxoxoxoxoxox
Wow. What a sweet belly picture that is. I don't believe it has been 20 weeks either!
You'll be able to get all of that stuff done and everyone adjusted. Just think of how much Josiah and Laney will grow and develop in the next twenty weeks.
I totally understand the car seat thing. We had all three lined across the middle until e and e grew out of their infant seats. Luckily we had a 'third' seat 'cause Hayes got booted to the back. :)
Jessi! I wish you were here so I could talk to your tummy :( Please keep posting thos baby belly shots...I LOVE them! And...I LOVE YOU!
Love the belly shot! You are precious!
Cute belly! Jack doesn't like fireworks either! He talked for days about how he didn't want to go watch. We tired earplugs but he hid his head in Colin's chest and wouldn't even look.
I really admire your strength and endurance! I just can't imagine a surprise pregnancy and here you are on #2. Give yourself and your kids a good 6 weeks to adjust. Remember, you don't have to do everything and the dishes will be there in the morning.
You look SO GOOD! Lucky!
You're in my thoughts. Imagine how fast time flies?! =) In just 4 months, you will have a new baby!
