I *heart* BOB

I decided to try a little something different tonight for my evening workout. I thought it might be time to break BOB (as in BOB Ironman Dualie jogging stroller) out of the garage for something other than a walk....it was time for his first run. So I harnessed both kiddos in and "hit the pavement" for a 3M run.
The kids did great. When it was just Josiah, he would be screaming to get out at 2M, making it nearly impossible for him to come with me while I was training for the half marathon last year. Tonight, though, he just asked a lot of questions. Unfortunately, I was soooo not in the mood to answer...I was trying to find a groove. And Laney, she was perfect...she fell asleep.

But I have to say that jogging while pushing 50+ pounds (Josiah=32lbs, Laney=18lbs) is hard work, harder than jogging 2M for the first time in over a year. It was a whole body workout...my arms and shoulders were even "feeling the burn". I can't imagine what it would have been like using any other jogging stroller....BOB was so smooth.
In short, I enjoyed the change of scenery (even though the weather was far from perfect--75 degrees and 95% humidity)...and will plan on running with BOB during the evenings when Randy won't be home until late (or at all).

You're so impressive. Good job, Jessi. I'm proud of you. If only I had half of your motivation!

That is awesome Jessi! Can you imagine running with the kiddos in the hills of VA, you're doing great. I love how you turned the situation to your advantage way to go!
