1/2 Off the Wagon

I have to blame my only slight fall from the wagon today on the new neighbors that just moved in across the street. I ran across a new brownie recipe the other day while visiting Bakerella and simply could not resist trying them for myself baking them for the neighbors. This brownie is AWESOME, marrying extreme fudge brownies with chocolate chip cookies topped with rich chocolate frosting. Mmmmmm, mmmm, mmmm!

Please excuse my feeble attempt to recreate the pics that Bakerella took of her finished brownies...I'm still learning my camera.

I apologize to my dear readers who are currently in calorie-counting mode, but this was a recipe too good not to share.

And I only considered myself to fall 1/2 off the wagon today because I did workout this morning, and I also consumed around 100oz. of water. With all of that water, many of those brownie calories are surely expected to be washed away, right? ;-) It's right along the same thinking that my dad has about freezing chocolate chip cookies...if they're frozen, the body won't absorb the fat. Silly, dad!

Since I wasn't really "on" the wagon to begin with, I can't really fall off, right?

I had brownies tonight but they looked nothing like this. They came in a red box that said "Great Value" on it. Not quite the same, even though they did have walnuts. So sad.

p.s. my word verification is snidog

i love that philosophy! i like to think if i bake things with holes in them, the calories escape through the holes! hahahaha!

I have had the hardest week with the wagon and I am happy (sad) to hear that I'm not alone! Jeepers! Something about this week...made me lose my mind :-)I have a feeling that I'm not going to have moved the scale as I had hoped... :-( So sad.

10 more pounds to go! 1 at a time... 1 at a time :-)

Ta-Ta Miss Jess!
